2 LDAP/Active Directory Configuration¶
SquidNet supports LDAP and Microsoft’s Active Directory protocols to manage user accounts on the local render farm. If enabled, the following features are available:
No requirement to manually add user accounts to the SquidNet user database. Render farm user accounts are automatically created when users initially login via the CUI or streamer interfaces.
Support on Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms.
Cross platform support. For example, a Windows-based AD environment will support SquidNet users on MacOS and Linux workstations.
To enable LDAP or AD support, set the server connection settings in the “LDAP/Active Directory” panel in the studio account as show above.
