2 LDAP/Active Directory Configuration

SquidNet supports LDAP and Microsoft’s Active Directory protocols to manage user accounts on the local render farm. If enabled, the following features are available:

  • No requirement to manually add user accounts to the SquidNet user database. Render farm user accounts are automatically created when users initially login via the CUI or streamer interfaces.

  • Support on Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms.

  • Cross platform support. For example, a Windows-based AD environment will support SquidNet users on MacOS and Linux workstations.

To enable LDAP or AD support, set the server connection settings in the “LDAP/Active Directory” panel in the studio account as show above.
